Welcome to your website
This corner of the Internet is designed and maintained for you — financial coaches and seminarians who are exploring together issues of faith and money. We hope that you will find materials that will be useful to your work together, as well as articles and tools that will challenge and inform you.
We have gathered together Financial Coaching resources developed by the seminaries of the ELCA, as well as partners who are working on the financial literacy initiative. CLICK HERE to see those resources.
In addition, we hope this site will encourage a continuing discussion of the issues and concerns that face seminarians who are struggling (usually) and borrowing (sometimes heavily) to pay for their theological education. In the box to the right of this page you will see the Discussions tab. Join a discussion or start one. The site is private, accessible only by login and password, so your comments are accessible only to the coach and seminarian community. Discretion is still advised when it comes to personal disclosure, but your comments won’t be available outside this site,
The site also is a storehouse of materials you may find interesting or helpful in your journey. Here are some categories:
Articles of Interest: These are resources of general interest to seminarians and coaches. They may or may not deal with seminarian finances.
Financial Tools: These are resources specifically for helping you handle your finances more effectively.
Financial Coaching Blog: Do you have an experience or essay to share?
Here are two critical links for you to use. Your profile contains your personal information, and your dashboard is where you can start a conversation or post a resource.
